About Creativity@Emerson
Creativity@Emerson positions creativity as a core human skill, essential for career readiness and social impact. Grounded in a shared language of creative expressions—ranging from self-awareness and empathy to collaboration and problem-solving—our initiative prepares students to navigate uncertainty, address complex local, national, and global challenges, and contribute meaningfully in a rapidly changing world where creativity is increasingly recognized as a critical workforce skill by organizations such as the World Economic Forum.

Curriculum
We strive to integrate a shared language of creativity across Emerson’s liberal arts and career-focused curricula to develop adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and collaborative problem-solvers prepared for complex professional environments.

Events
We offer experiential events—workshops, screenings, alumni conversations, and expert talks—that help students apply creative thinking to real-world challenges facing local, national, and global communities.

Research
We contribute to creative literacy research by studying how creativity training strengthens career readiness, ethical decision-making, and the capacity to address pressing social and global challenges within our own learning community.

Partnerships
We collaborate with local, national, and global partners to build supportive and synergistic relationships that foster creative solutions and innovation beyond the Emerson community.
